Who runs the Leaseholders’ & Residents’ Association?

It is run by residents of London City Island, completely unpaid. It is completely separate from the Facebook Group. We do not work for Ballymore, but we aim to work with them and have a constructive and positive relationship. Our ethos is conversation not confrontation, explanation not complaints, solutions not problems.

How is the Residents Association run?

We operate according to the rules in the constitution. We have a committee which is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The committee meets regularly as required and at least two committee meetings every year are open to all members, who may attend and speak but not vote.

The officers of the Association are:-

Chair

Secretary

Treasurer

Quality of Service Rep

Service Charge Rep

Digital Rep

Comms Rep

The officers are responsible primarily, subject to the Committee and the members, for monitoring their areas of responsibility, responding to residents’ concerns and liaising with Ballymore.

We normally meet with Ballymore either before or after each committee meeting.

How can I join the committee?

Email secretary@lci-glh-residents.org.uk to discuss it.

How is the Association funded?

It is not funded. We receive no money, grants or subsidies. The website is the free version of WordPress, and the newsletter and database of members is the free version of Mailchimp. The committee give their time free of charge.

Any sponsorship of meetings etc. is transparently reported to the membership.
